Problem
Nigeria's 31% and Africa's 33% non-literate populations face language barriers accessing quality healthcare. Conflict-prone areas and high healthcare costs further restrict access. Traditional telemedicine platforms lack localization and struggle with Web3 onboarding complexity.
Constraints
Implementing accurate AI translation without hallucinations, creating intuitive Web3 onboarding for offchain users, integrating paymaster for gasless transactions, ensuring data privacy compliance.
Solution
Implemented AI language translation with speech-based detection, simplified Web3 onboarding through OnchainKit, built staking system for fiat-to-crypto rewards, created MedWatch feature for prescription adherence tracking, integrated paymaster for gasless interactions.
Results
Built for Base Africa hackathon, Medchain enables non-English speakers to access healthcare in their native language, provides safer alternatives to conflict zone travel, and empowers volunteers through platform earnings.
